Derwent’s £50k London mission

Derwent London’s community funding programme in Fitzrovia, W1, has shared £50,000 between seven projects. Now in its fourth year, the initiative invites applicants to attend a workshop and present their project proposals, meet community members and groups, and contribute to the decision-making process.

The winning entries are chosen for the physical, social, cultural, arts and health benefits they can offer. The winning projects were: All Souls Clubhouse, FitzFest, Fitzrovia Centre, Fitzrovia Trust, Holcroft Residents Association, Soup Kitchen and Table Tennis Fight Club.

John Davies, head of sustainability at Derwent London, said: “We were delighted to again see a great range of project ideas. Our workshop format was a great opportunity for applicants to meet and discuss their plans. It also provided us with feedback which has helped us in our decision-making, which once again proved difficult.”
