Regional developer Hampton Brook has secured a prelet on its 103,000 sq ft logistics and distribution warehouse Thrapston 103 – the only speculatively developed shed along the A14 corridor in Northamptonshire.
Designer and manufacturer simplehuman has taken a 10-year lease on the speculative building at the quoting rent of £4.95 per sq ft, prior to completion of the building.
Ian Jackson, director of Hampton Brook, said: “Our decision to undertake this speculative development was borne out of market demand and ensured that we were well positioned to take advantage of outstanding occupier requirements.
“The letting to simplehuman ahead of practical completion vindicates our decision to speculatively construct this building – when no other shed development was being undertaken along the A14 corridor in the county.”
The new facility will service the European market for simplehuman. The distribution centre is located close to the A14.
