English Cities Fund has submitted a planning application for its second office development at New Bailey in Salford, Greater Manchester.
ECf, a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and the Homes and Communities Agency, has branded the new 190,000 sq ft office building Two New Bailey.
It will be located next door to the recently completed 125,000 sq ft One New Bailey, where law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has taken 80,000 sq ft, and bar and restaurant Menagerie has taken 6,000 sq ft on the ground floor.
Designed by architect AHMM, Two New Bailey will also feature a café, 50 underground car parking bays, cycle facilities and showers.
Phil Mayall, development director at ECf, said: “The decision to submit the planning application at this time was prompted by the strong interest in the remaining space at One New Bailey and we expect a decision to be made in September.”
JLL and Cushman & Wakefield are joint agents on the New Bailey scheme.
