NOMA accelerates office delivery

NOMA_THUMB.jpegNOMA is accelerating the construction of the office elements of its 20-acre redevelopment in Manchester to take advantage of demand for prime and creative office space.

Construction has started on three listed buildings, known as Dantzic, Hanover and Federation and totalling 220,000 sq ft, after the timetable was brought forward by two years.

The buildings were meant to be delivered in succession, but NOMA has since decided to bring them forward at the same time.

David Pringle, director of NOMA at the Co-operative Group, said: “Our decision to bring forward development underlines our confidence in both the product and the market. Schemes like Federation, Dantzic and Hanover are unique in the local market and their regeneration will contribute hugely to the remodelling of Manchester’s city centre.”

The offices are being developed speculatively.

The 20-acre mixed-use redevelopment jv between the Co-operative Group and Hermes Investment Management is offering more than 4m sq ft of office, commercial and residential space.
