Rigby reveals Coventry development details

Imperial Park Coventry CGI

Rigby Real Estate – part of Sir Peter Rigby’s, Rigby Group – has unveiled plans for its major development at Coventry Airport.

A total of 575,000 sq ft of grade A distribution warehouses will be built on the 29-acre Imperial Park site off Siskin Drive.

The development secured planning consent earlier this month and will comprise three buildings of 350,000 sq ft, 165,000 sq ft and 60,000 sq ft for the logistics and distribution sectors.

Rigby has appointed Bowmer & Kirkland to construct the buildings.

The site was recently acquired by M&G Real Estate, which is also funding the construction in a £50.6m investment.

Andrew Cox of Rigby Real Estate said that work was expected to start in August and “the development will move at a pace and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2017”.
