CREFC launches Young Professionals in Real Estate Finance

crefc_europeCREFC Europe has launched a training initiative for young professionals in commercial real estate.

The trade body has set up Young Professionals in Real Estate Finance to give those in the industry with less than 10 years of experience a place to network and learn.

YPREF will give members training and support in both their educational and professional goals.

It is Europe’s first networking group for young professionals in commercial real estate.

Peter Cosmetatos, chief executive of CREFC Europe, said: “We have made important strides in recent years to bring a rapidly diversifying CRE finance industry closer together and give it a coherent voice. But one area we need to do better on is engaging and supporting the future stars of the sector. We are delighted to support young professionals on the YPREF steering group and to work with them to secure the future of the industry.”

Miles Keeley, analyst at Cushamn & Wakefield and YPREF steering group member, said: “Our hope is that YPREF will present senior market leaders with a platform to communicate with the new cohort of real estate finance professionals, passing on valuable lessons from years of experience in the sector.”
