400 homes planned for Liverpool waterfront

Patten Properties and Panacea Property Development have submitted plans for a residential development overlooking Liverpool’s waterfront.

The jv between the two is planning a 395-home 16-storey development designed by Leach Rhodes Walker that will replace the existing four-storey office at the junction of Strand Street and Red Cross Street.

Neil Patten, managing director of both companies, said: “It is vital that our design is sensitive to the heritage of Liverpool’s historic waterfront and is more suitable in terms of scale and appearance than the existing, and somewhat dated, office block currently on the site.”

Zerum acts as planning consultant, supported by Curtins. Leach Rhodes Walker is the architect on the scheme.
