Mission Burrito to open in Newport

Mission-Burrito-Mexican-Food-THUMBMission Burrito has agreed a deal with Queensberry Real Estate to open a restaurant at its £110m Friars Walk regeneration scheme in Newport.

The brand will take a 660 sq ft store by USK plaza on a 15-year lease at the 390,000 sq ft retail and leisure destination.

Having originated in the UK, the Mexican food chain has restaurants in Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Leicester, Oxford and Reading.

The restaurant will be the first to open in the upper level, and will be next to the eight-screen Cineworld complex. It will join other the 12 other family restaurant brands at the scheme, which include Le Bistro Pierre, GBK and Las Iguanas.
