Primark evolves in Shropshire
Primark is to occupy 50,000 sq ft in UK Commercial Property Trust’s Charles Darwin shopping centre in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. UKCPT is also undertaking an upgrade of the shopping centre’s public areas, ground floor and atrium. Primark’s store is expected to open in spring or summer 2017.
London flat offered at £150m
A flat in Admiralty Arch, SW1, has been put up for sale priced at £150m, making it the most expensive in London. Spanish property developer Rafael Serrano is selling the apartment with the option to split it into four flats ranging in size from 1,700 sq ft to 7,100 sq ft.
Roberts joins Allsop
Allsop has appointed Lesley Roberts as executive development director of Allsop Letting and Management. Roberts was previously director of PRS at Pinnacle Places, and has more than 10 years of PRS block management experience. She is also chair of the Soho Housing Association.
Solihull appoints Brown
Solihull Council’s new urban growth company UK Central has appointed transport big-hitter Nick Brown as its first chair. The former managing director of underground and rail for Transport for London will oversee the development of the HS2 interchange station site and transport connectivity in the UK Central Hub.
Telford buys UHD
Housebuilder Telford Homes has bought the regeneration business of United House Development for £23m. The group of companies has interests in four major north and east London developments with a potential gross development value of £500m, including the £200m City North in Finsbury Park, N4.
