CBRE Global Investors has appointed Bas Tiemstra as the firm’s first director of investment operations EMEA.
In the newly created role, Tiemstra will be in charge of EMEA asset management and operations, with a focus on driving investment performance at the asset level.
Before joining CBRE in 2015, he was the managing director of commercial real estate at ASR Real Estate Investment Management.
Meanwhile, Jirka Lhotak will replace Dennis van Vugt as chief financial officer EMEA at CBRE from 1 August.
Lhotak joined the firm in 2006 and was previously the chief financial officer of the CBRE European Shopping Centre Funds and the retail portfolio in the region.
Jeremy Plummer, head of EMEA at CBRE, said: “We would like to thank Dennis for all of his contributions over the past 10 years during which he fulfilled several roles within the company. Dennis became CFO/COO immediately after the merger with CBRE Global Investors and played a key role in the ensuing integration and restructuring of a number of funds. We wish him all the best with his future endeavours.”
