Fashion group Erdem to open at The Loom

Erdem-THUMB.jpegFashion group Erdem is opening a new shop at Helical’s The Loom, Whitechapel, E1.

The group, which was established in 2005, sells to retailers including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Barneys of New York, as well as having its own standalone Mayfair store.

It is opening a 9,200 sq ft shop on a 10-year lease at a rent of £54 per sq ft.

Helical has also secured an agreement for lease with cult London brand Look Mum No Hands! to operate the onsite café facility. The Loom will be its third permanent café, with units already in Old Street and Brixton.

Helical will shortly complete a major refurbishment of the reception, common parts and various units at The Loom, a former Victorian wool warehouse, having comprehensively modernised and repositioned the building.

On completion in early September there will be circa 35,000 sq ft of refurbished office space available in varying sized units.

Tom Anderson, senior investment executive at Helical said: “We are delighted that the first new occupiers are two such creative and dynamic brands. It is clear testament that there remains excellent tenant demand for high quality and unique buildings. We are excited about what we have created and look forward to welcoming other new businesses to The Loom.”

Colliers and Hall Kemp are Helical’s retained office leasing agents, whilst CWM let the café. Erdem was represented by Making Moves.
