Carluccio’s is launching its first restaurant in Edinburgh.
The Italian chain will open in February 2018 at Chris Stewart Group’s Mint Building on South St Andrew Square.
The restaurant is taking 4,439 sq ft on the ground floor and basement on a 25-year lease.
Estelle Forrester, director in the retail team at Savills Scotland, said: “With the significant regeneration under way at St Andrew Square and a number of national leisure operators already confirmed for the area, we are confident that this site will serve our client well, benefiting from strong footfall and close proximity to the main shopping streets and business locations, the train station and York Place tram stop.”
Chris Stewart Group was advised by Cushman & Wakefield; Savills and Kelion Sworn acted for Carluccio’s.
This will be the fourth Scottish site for Carluccio’s, which is looking for more sites in Edinburgh. Savills is solely retained on all future acquisitions in Scotland.
