RBS could move operations abroad

The Brexit vote could see the Royal Bank of Scotland move key operations to potentially Germany, Ireland or the Netherlands, its chief executive, Ross McEwan, said.

In the event of Scotland voting to leave the UK, the bank would definitely move its HQ out of Scotland, he said.

McEwan also noted there had been an around 10% fall in home loan applications and a minor drop off in commercial loans.
