Kingfisher reported an 8.4% rise in total group sales in the three months ended 31 July, boosted by a 7.2% increase in like-for-like sales in the UK and Ireland.
There has been no evidence of a Brexit effect so far, chief executive Véronique Laury said, adding she remained cautious about the short-term outlook.
Sales in Poland were also strong, but sales fell in France as a result of industrial action and the poor weather.
