UK house prices fell 0.2% on the month in August, easing from the prior month’s 1.1% fall, figures from Halifax show.
The fall took the average house price to £213,930. On the year, house-price growth slowed to 6.9%.
Quarterly growth of 0.7% was the lowest since December 2014.
