Strathmore House, the centrepiece of Prince Charles’ Poundbury development and his tribute to the late Queen Mother, bears a remarkable similarity to her former residence, Buckingham Palace.
The building, complete with Corinthian columns and a royal crest, is situated on Queen Mother Square and includes eight apartments.
The square is also home to a building modelled on the Ritz Hotel and offering accommodation, a pub and a restaurant. A separate building containing a further 20 apartments is under construction.
