Housebuilder Galliford Try is cautiously optimistic about the future, with sales now higher than a year ago.
The company reported an 18% increase in pretax profit to £135m in the year to the end of June.
Home sales during the period totalled 3,078. The 2% rise in the average selling price was a result of the company gradually moving its focus from London and the southeast to lower-priced areas.
