McGrove Developments has secured permission for its Clearings scheme on Draycott Avenue, SW3, after agreeing terms on its section 106 obligations.

The £900m luxury residential scheme, owned by Citygrove and McLaren Properties with the backing of Sports Direct founder Mike Ashley, is expected to achieve an end value of £4,000 per sq ft.

The plans remove seven town houses, reduce the number of one-bedroom flats and increase the number of two- and four-bedroom flats. The total number of flats has also risen from 69 to 78.

DP9, which submitted the application, said the revised plans sought to improve the public realm and added public funds via the CIL.

As part of the proposals the redevelopment of the neighbouring Marlborough Primary School was facilitated by the conversion of Clearings into an interim school.

A new school is currently being built, and work is expected to start on the site after this is delivered.
