Revo, the new name for BCSC, will help it influence decision makers, and raise standards in the retail property world, the organisation claims.
The name and logo were formally unveiled at its conference in Manchester this week.
Mark Bourgeois, Revo president, and executive director of Capital & Regional, said: “Revo is an amalgamation of retail and evolution, and embodies what both the organisation and the industry is now all about.
“It adapts in a digital age and incorporates leisure, food, civic uses and urban living, and all that in the context of a real evolving, changing face of how people shop.”
The organisation has come up with a six-point agenda for change that promises:
- Dynamic, new and relevant events
- To represent members’ interests with more senior political and industry decision makers
- To have a more inclusive and wider membership base, reflected in awards and governance
- To “upskill” the sector – a life cycle approach
- Better customer service and restructured membership packages
- More targeted and accessible communications.
