Muse on track in Manchester

New-Victoria-Manchester-Muse Developments and Network Rail have won permission to build a £185m mixed-use development next to Victoria station in Manchester.

Three new buildings will be built, including an eight-storey, 150,000 sq ft office block, and two residential 20- to 25-storey towers with 178 one-bedroom, 286 two-bedroom and 56 three-bedroom flats, a gym, concierge, communal lounge, cycle storage and roof garden.

The scheme also has 7,000 sq ft of shops and leisure uses.

The 2.5-acre site in Corporation Street is owned by Network Rail and is in an area of the city centre transformed in recent years.

Sheppard Robson architects and Arup created detailed design proposals. Deloitte advised on planning.
