Citibase expands in Scotland

Scotland-map-THUMBBusiness centre operator Citibase has launched two new business hubs in Aberdeen and North Lanarkshire, doubling its presence in Scotland.

The centres will provide new flexible workspace for up to 500 Scottish businesses.

Citibase Aberdeen is situated on Queens Road in the city’s West End.

Citibase has entered into an eight-year management agreement on the 22,000 sq ft property with head tenant AAB, which was advised by CBRE.

Citibase Strathclyde Business Park is situated at New Alderston House in Strathclyde Business Park. The building, owned by Mackay Properties Limited, is set amongst 155 acres of parkland and has been fully refurbished.

The centre will initially operate on the ground floor of the 39,000 sq ft property with plans to expand to other floors in the future.

Steve Jude, Citibase chief executive, said: “These new centre openings show that forward-thinking landlords are now recognising the diversity of occupier needs, looking to providers like Citibase to meet SME’s demands while helping them generate cash from under-utilised office buildings.”
