London flats are getting smaller, as developers drop plans for large apartments, substituting them with plans for units with less space.
One example is the New Scotland Yard site, where developer Northacre is looking to agree an increase in the number of apartments to 295, replacing some three-bedroom units with one- or two-bedroom flats.
The trend is a result of stamp duty changes, according to Cast chief executive Mark Farmer.
