American Apparel shops up for sale

Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed by KPMG to market the 13 UK stores of fashion retailer American Apparel. Eight stores are located in London at Oxford Street, W1, Camden High Street, Carnaby Street, W1, Neal Street, WC2, Kensington High Street, SW1, Curtain Road, EC2, and both Westfield Stratford and Westfield London. There are a further five in Brighton, Bristol, Leeds, Nottingham and Glasgow. Toby Comerford, international partner in Cushman & Wakefield’s retail team, said: “This represents an amazing opportunity for a brand to buy a ready-made collection of prime stores in the key fashion hubs across London and in core cities across the UK.
