Deliveroo will double the number of RooBox kitchens to 20 by the end of this year.
RooBox, which was launched in April, provides restaurants with delivery-only kitchens, helping them to expand and grow their business.
The kitchens are deployed in areas of high consumer demand where there is low restaurant supply.
The scheme also allows restaurants to avoid overhead costs associated with bricks-and-mortar premises.
Existing restaurant partners include Yoobi Sushi, Tommi’s Burgers and Motu – an exclusive Deliveroo brand created by JKS, the group behind Gymkhana and Trishna.
The news comes in the wake of the appointment of Emilie Vialle, who joins Deliveroo’s special projects team as international general manager to manage the RooBox initiative.
Prior to joining Deliveroo Emilie was strategy and planning senior manager at SAB Miller in the UK and Europe sales strategy manager at Pepsico.
