MADE.COM migrates offline

Online-shopping-generic-THUMB.jpegOnline home furnishings retailer MADE.COM is launching a series of pop-up stores across the county to capitalise on the halo effect of online-to-offline shopping.

The brand has joined forces with Appear Here and connected store platform CloudTags for its latest store at LinkStreet, Birmingham.

The showroom featured Visual Commerce Walls powered by CloudTags, which can display items virtually in the style of a showroom. The same technology was used in its previous Brighton pop-up, where the company achieved a 3.7x return on investment.

Annabel Kilner, head of commercial at MADE.COM, said: “Launching flexible retail experiences is an increasing trend for digitally native vertical brands like MADE.COM. What we see is not only a positive ROI on the investment from direct sales using this model, but also a significant halo effect for online sales in the entire region from a short-term physical presence.”
