Staples is set to disappear from UK high streets after its US owner sold the UK activities to restructuring specialist Hilco Capital.
Hilco said it was considering all options for the business, including selling stores. Staples has 106 UK stores.
Staples chief executive Shira Goodman said the company was evaluating strategic alternatives for the remainder of Staples Europe.
