W1 Developments has secured planning for a mixed-use scheme at 204a Great Portland Street, W1.
The 50,000 sq ft development spans eight floors and will include 31 new flats along with shops and restaurant space on the ground floor.
The property is situated in the Harley Street Conservation Area, on the corner of Great Portland Street, Carburton Street and Bolsover Street.
The existing property, built in the 1970s, will be demolished. It is currently more than 70% vacant and was highlighted as a negative feature in the local conservation area audit.
Simon Bowden Architecture has been appointed for the project. DP9 acted as planning consultant.
