The outlook for the UK housing market is highly uncertain, with transactions slowing following the Brexit vote, the Bank of England’s financial stability report said.
Record low interest rates have pushed house prices higher as people borrow more or refinance loans.
However, the report noted the market had softened recently, although it performed more strongly than some indicators had suggested in July and August.
