New River REIT joins FTSE 250

NewRiver-Retail.gifNewRiver REIT was added to the FTSE 250 last night at the index’s quarterly review.

The company moved from AIM to the Main Market in August and will be included in the FTSE 250 effective from 19 December.

David Lockhart, chief executive of NewRiver, said: “We will join the FTSE 250 and FTSE All Share indices later this month having fulfilled the admission criteria.

“This follows our move from AIM to the Main Market in August 2016 and marks another milestone for the company just seven years after it was founded. We believe that index inclusion will provide improved liquidity through access to a wider investor base.”

Meanwhile, Countrywide fell out of the FTSE 250 and builders’ merchant Travis Perkins fell out of the FTSE 100.
