Native and Queensberry to build Edinburgh St James homes

st-james-residential-thumbTH Real Estate has chosen Native Land and Queensberry Properties as its residential partners for the £1bn St James regeneration scheme in Edinburgh.

The residential element of the 1.7m sq ft project will comprise 150 units and will be Native Land’s first development outside London.

Queensberry, a partnership between developer Cruden Homes and Buccleuch Property, and Native Land – of which Buccleuch is a shareholder – will take a combined stake in the scheme and are in the process of appointing a development manager.

Edinburgh St James will also see the existing 1970s shopping centre replaced with 850,000 sq ft of shops, a cinema, and a 214-bedroom W Hotel. Rettie & Co acted for TH Real Estate.
