Gary Neville to open Mahiki Manchester

mahikiGary Neville is bringing the Mahiki nightclub to Manchester after signing a 20-year lease with LJ Partnership.

The professional footballer turned property developer has signed a lease for 4,437 sq ft at 1 Central Street on the Albert Estate.

Neville’s growing business portfolio in the city includes Hotel Football, opposite the Old Trafford football ground, and plans for St Michael’s, a controversial 700,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme comprising two towers of 21 and 31 storeys each.

LJ Partnership said the nightclub would bring a “little piece of paradise to the heart of Manchester”.

Mahiki currently has two venues – in London’s Dover Street, W1, and in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

Sam Lawson Johnston, director of real estate at LJ Partnership, said: “As well as hosting a strong business community, Manchester also boasts a buzzing nightlife and it is only natural that a world-famous nightclub such as Mahiki would choose to open its third venue here.”
