Councillor Robert Davis, who has chaired Westminster City Council’s planning committee for nearly 17 years, and held cabinet responsibility for planning for the past 15 years, is stepping down from both posts.
Davis will remain as deputy leader of the council, and will take up a new post as cabinet member for business, culture and heritage.
In his new role, Davis and his new team will be responsible for place making, and will oversee BIDs, heritage matters and major public realm schemes including Oxford Street.
