Anthology adds to Wembley resi

Pint-of-milk-test-bannerAnthology has received planning consent from Brent Council for the redevelopment of another residential scheme in Wembley. Just to the north of the Wembley Park masterplan, a vacant 1.6-acre industrial site known as Amex House will make way for nearly 200 homes in buildings of up to 13 storeys.

About a fifth of the 195 homes will be affordable, with 151 for the private market. The site is a three minute walk from Wembley Park Tube station. Anthology will contribute nearly £4.5m towards the Community Infrastructure Levy, both borough and mayoral.

wembley-parade-570pxDevelopment director Neil Sams said: “The scheme has been designed with great attention to detail – the unique development is sleek, in keeping with the new surrounding buildings and curves to reflect the Wealdstone Brook which runs behind the site.”

The site was put up for sale and advertised through Estates Gazette on 28 February 2015 through Savills, with offers invited in excess of £13m. Land Registry documents reveal the sale completed a little more than a month later on 2 April 2015. Anthology paid £14m for the site.

The scheme, to be known as Wembley Parade, was designed by GRID Architects. JLL is acting as agent.
