A former chef patron at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay has secured her first restaurant venture in Notting Hill, W11.
Clare Smyth, who left the three-Michelin-starred restaurant last April, signed a 15-year lease with a rent of £135,000 per annum on a site at Kensington Park Road.
The 60-cover restaurant is due to open in late spring or early summer 2017.
The site, a 3,921 sq ft Victorian building, housed the Michelin-starred Leith’s restaurant from 1969 to 1995, when it was replaced by Notting Hill Brasserie.
Smyth said: “It was pretty fraught at times in 2016, but I’m thrilled to have exchanged on this particular site. It was my first choice and I just love the history of the building.”
Restaurant Property acted on behalf of Smyth.
