** Totals only include auctions held within the region

This data shows the leading auction house in each region based on auctions held in that area.

Auction service provider IAMSOLD has emerged as the dominant firm holding auctions in Yorkshire & Humberside, with a 50.7% increase, taking the total it raised in that region to £56.2m. However, Mark Jenkinson & Son raised the most of auction houses actually based in that region (see previous table), at £27.9m.

SDL Group is dominating in the Midlands, through its acquisitions last year of both CP Bigwood (now SDL Bigwood) and Graham Penny Auctions (now SDL Graham Penny). West Midlands-based SDL Bigwood saw a slight drop in total raised, down 3.4% to £74m, but is the fourth largest regional auctioneer by some margin. East Midlands-based SDL Graham Penny saw a 5.3% increase in total raised to £40.4m.
