AlixPartners has been appointed to lead the sales process of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, leading to speculation it could be heading for administration.
Owner 3i has been looking into options for the brand since late last year, after previously trying to sell it three years ago.
It is thought to be aiming to finalise a deal before rent and rate deadlines in late February or early March. Around five companies are thought to have put forward bids last week.
