Birmingham developer Blackswan has been granted planning permission for 156 flats in the city’s Jewellery Quarter on Great Hampton Street.
The developer intends to renovate redundant industrial buildings, including the Grade II listed J Ashford & Sons men’s jewellery factory, on the 1.3-acre site and construct new buildings.
The BPN Architects-designed scheme will include 8,000 sq ft of commercial space and has a potential GDV of £26m.
Marcus Hawley, Blackswan’s managing director, said: “We are delivering something that is a step above in terms of quality and character, providing homes for people who want to live in the Jewellery Quarter.”
Knight Frank advised Blackswan.
