Birmingham-based Calthorpe Estates has appointed Matt Long as a director with responsibility for developing relationships with new and existing customers.
Long, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the area, joins the business from Colliers International where, as a director, he was involved in the office agency activity in Birmingham, working as part of the national offices team. Prior to that Long worked at DTZ, now part of Cushman & Wakefield.
He will be responsible for building new and existing customer and community relationships, managing the estate’s commercial and residential portfolio, in addition to working alongside the commercial and residential property agents and the in-house development team.
Long has advised many developers and investors, including Sterling PV/Rockspring, Standard Life, Hines and Barberry Richardson.
Calthorpe chief executive Mark Lee said: “We are seeing our vision and strategic plans come to fruition with establishment of Edgbaston village as a vibrant leisure and lifestyle destination, alongside the development of Pebble Mill and Edgbaston medical quarter as a centre of medical excellence and our £300m regeneration project at New Garden Square.”
