Get Living has bought a 7.5-acre site in Glasgow’s Merchant City district for a 600-home rental scheme.
The deal was secured off-market from a private vendor, and is Get Living’s first scheme outside London.
The site has outline consent. Get Living intends to build a new residential neighbourhood of over 600 homes, with construction to commence in a single phase.
Rick de Blaby, deputy chairman of Get Living, said: “This is the first of several important steps to realise our vision for ambitious growth. We are very excited and proud to be investing in Glasgow, a city steeped in a rich commercial, educational and cultural history and with an ambitious outlook to match our own.”
Get Living, backed by Delancey and Qatari Diar, owns 1,439 rental flats in the Athletes Village in Stratford, E20, and 652 in Elephant and Castle, SE1.
