Five Guys sinks teeth into Edinburgh

five-guys-burger-and-fries-THUMB.jpegBurger chain Five Guys has secured a lease at 12 Frederick Street in Edinburgh for its first city centre outlet.

It has agreed to a new 20-year lease on the 6,758 sq ft unit, arranged over basement, ground and two upper floors, and will pay £200,000 pa.

Five Guys also has a restaurant in Fort Kinnaird out-of-town retail park.

Gordon Nicolson, associate director in the retail team at Savills Scotland, which represented the private landlord on the deal, said: “Edinburgh continues to attract national food and drink operators and this deal secures a prime location for the first Five Guys restaurant in the city centre.”

Callum Mortimer, director in the retail team at CBRE, which advised Five Guys, adds: “Having also concluded deals with Five Guys in Aberdeen and Dundee city centre recently we were delighted to help secure such a prominent city centre location.”
