Shares in Bovis Homes rose on Monday following news of rival bids for the company from Galliford Try and Redrow.
Redrow said it continued to believe the combination offers a compelling opportunity, despite Bovis rejecting its offer.
Bovis also rejected Galliford’s initial offer but is continuing talks with the company. Analysts reckon the potential for the bids to be improved substantially is limited, given the favourable land market.
