Conde Nast commits to Adelphi

Conde Nast International is to open a new office for its growing digital business at Blackstone’s Adelphi, WC2.

The publishing giant has placed around 25,000 sq ft under offer at the 330,000 sq ft art deco building in Covent Garden Riverside. Knight Frank was instructed earlier this year to find a new office for the publisher’s expanding digital team. The move will see Conde Nast leave 25 Maddox Street, W1, where it currently occupies around 12,000 sq ft. The firm has no plans to vacate Vogue House in Hanover Square, W1, the home of British Vogue.

Conde Nast is the latest high-profile tenant to sign up to the Adelphi. The Economist has agreed to take 26,000 sq ft on a 15-year lease and global management consulting firm AT Kearney has agreed a 15-year lease to occupy 16,000 sq ft. Since its acquisition in 2012, Blackstone has carried out an extensive refurbishment of floors 1-13. Quoted rents start at £69.50 per sq ft.

The deal will leave around 100,000 sq ft available to rent in the building.

Knight Frank is advising Conde Nast; Cushman & Wakefield and Knight Frank are representing Blackstone.
