Tétris-bluu downsizing team

JLL’s fit-out firm Tétris-bluu is making redundancies in an attempt to streamline its operations.

It is understood there is an ongoing process to downsize the team from the Bluu side of the business, which joined Tétris after being acquired by JLL in 2015.

A spokesman for Tétris-bluu said: “Following a review of our fit-out business we have entered into consultation with our UK employees at Tétris-bluu. The firm believes it is prudent to take workforce planning measures now, to fit the likely requirements of clients and prospects in 2017, in order to secure the long term future of the business.

“We will take every opportunity to redeploy those affected and therefore limit the number of redundancies.”

JLL bought UK-based design and fit-out company Bluu as part of its plan to grow the Tétris fit-out business.

Bluu’s 120-strong team merged with the 30 Tétris employees, and the combined teams operate from Bluu’s office at Princess House, 50 Eastcastle Street, W1.

Bluu moved fully under the Tétris brand in 2016.

The firm operates in 23 offices in 16 countries across Europe, the Middle East & Africa and in Brazil.

JLL acquired Tétris in 2007. It has delivered over 4,000 projects for corporate, investor, retail and hotel clients. In 2014 the turnover hit $236M (£170m).
