Untimley death of Sam Sananes
Sam Sananes, senior portfolio manager at UBS Asset Management, has died aged 40 after a short illness.
He was most recently portfolio manager of UBS Central London Office Value Added Fund, which became the strongest performing unlisted real estate fund in the UK, before its termination in September.
CBRE appoint pan-EMEA head
CBRE has appointed Gavin Morgan to head its pan-EMEA office investor leasing team. Morgan was at JLL for 16 years, mainly in APAC and New York.
Cris Tollast, the current head of CBRE’s EMEA office leasing and tenant rep team, is retiring.
New international capital markets director at Colliers
Colliers International has appointed Andrew Thomas as head of its international capital markets and as director within its London offices team. Thomas joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where he had worked for 27 years and was also a partner in its central London department.
Bel-Air moves into Leadenhall
British Land and Oxford Properties have signed premium fast food restaurant Bel-Air at Leadenhall Building, EC3 which is taking 2,100 sq ft, while Black Sheep Coffee is taking 1,760 sq ft. The building is in the process of being sold to CC Land for £1.1bn.
2.8m sq ft portfolio sale for CBRE
CBRE Global Investors has sold a 2.8m sq ft portfolio of 11 retail-led assets located in Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Hungary, to CPI Property Group for €650m (£563m).
The portfolio of assets were sold from both the Property Fund Central Europe and Property Fund Central Eastern Europe.
