Burger chain MEATliquor is opening a branch in King’s Cross.
The restaurant is taking a 1,800 sq ft former tram shed at 6 St Chad’s Place, N1, on a 10-year lease.
Set to open summer 2017, it will have space for 90 covers.
Shed Design Ltd will design the restaurant, retaining the building’s historic features.
It will be the brand’s 11th location, bringing the total in London to eight.
Co-founders Scott Collins and Yianni Papoutsis, grew the brand from street van operator to a string of restaurants, with the first permanent site opening in Marylebone in 2011.
Collins said: “Shelley Sandzer has excelled in helping us find this totally unique space in central London. They have been fantastic advisers throughout the whole process and securing this special building in such a major location is testament to their ability. This will be a truly original MEATliquor restaurant in London.”
