RG Group, has been selected to develop the St James retail and leisure regeneration scheme in Dover town centre on behalf of L&G.
The £53.25m development forms part of Dover District Council’s wider regeneration of the town.
Funding the development on behalf of LGIM Real Assets’ managed fund, L&G is also involved in more than £3.25bn of regeneration schemes across the UK.
The scheme comprises 157,000 sq ft of shops and leisure, anchored by Marks & Spencer and Next, with a six-screen Cineworld cinema, a 108-room Travelodge hotel and six restaurants.
Maidstone-based Gallagher Group has been on site since December 2016 and will continue as a sub-contractor.
The development is 80% pre-let and recent lettings at the scheme include Shoe Zone, Card Factory, Carphone Warehouse and Greggs.
Completion of the development is scheduled for Q1 2018.
