Some 20 of the leading investors and developers in the build-to-rent sector have agreed to offer three-year tenancies, the British Property Federation said.
Those signing up to the scheme include ones funding new, private rented accommodation schemes. The schemes are typically large-scale and managed by an individual company.
Among the companies are Hermes, Invesco, Legal & General and M&G Real Estate.
