Herefordshire county council is aiming to raise £40m from the sale of 4,000 acres of land, various farms and smallholdings and a Grade-II listed building through estate agents Fisher German.
The complexity of the sale has meant 12 surveyors have taken a total of nine months to prepare the details.
The properties provide the council with annual income of around £400,000, but liabilities total £3m.
