Asian investors dominate City of London commercial property deals

Investors from China and Hong Kong led purchases of commercial property in the City of London in the first three months of the year, taking advantage of the pound’s weakness, according to figures from Savills.

Some 33 deals took place. Asian investors accounted for 64%, UK and European investors 13%, and Middle Eastern and US investors 5% each.

The Cheesegrater and Fleet Place House were among the properties sold to Chinese investors.
