The London borough of Enfield is to be the location for a trial of 22 no-frill apartments, built by not-for-profit developer Naked House and sold for up to 40% less than normal new-builds.
The apartments will have no decoration, floor or wall finishes and no interior walls. Plumbing will be basic, with a functioning sink and bathroom included.
London mayor Sadiq Khan is providing a £500,000 grant for the apartments, which will be built at three sites in the borough. If successful, seven more sites will be added.
